| Netty is a network application framework for development of protocol servers and clients. Prior to 4.1.136.Final and 4.2.16.Final, Netty's SPDY SETTINGS decoder accepts a peer-declared SETTINGS entry count up to the 24-bit frame-length limit and materializes every unique setting ID in `DefaultSpdySettingsFrame`, allowing a remote SPDY/3.1 peer to send a syntactically valid roughly 2 MiB SETTINGS frame that creates 262144 map entries and amplifies network input into heap growth and ordered-map insertion work. This issue is fixed in versions 4.1.136.Final and 4.2.16.Final. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xfrm: esp: restore combined single-frag length gate
The ESP out-of-place fast path appends the trailer in esp_output_head()
before esp_output_tail() allocates the destination page frag. The
head-side gate currently checks skb->data_len and tailen separately, but
the tail code allocates a single destination frag from the combined
post-trailer skb->data_len.
Reject the page-frag fast path when the combined aligned length exceeds a
page. Otherwise skb_page_frag_refill() may fall back to a single page while
the destination sg still spans the combined skb->data_len.
Restore this combined-length page gate for both IPv4 and IPv6. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: core: Run queues for all non-SDEV_DEL devices from scsi_run_host_queues
While a SCSI host is in a recovery state, scsi_mq_requeue_cmd() will not
set the requeue list for a requeued command to be kicked in the future.
The expectation is a call to scsi_run_host_queues() will kick all SCSI
devices once the recovery state is cleared.
However, scsi_run_host_queues() uses shost_for_each_device() which uses
scsi_device_get() and so will ignore devices in a partially removed
state like SDEV_CANCEL. But these devices may also have requeued
requests, leaving their requests stuck from not being kicked and causing
the removal process of the device to hang.
scsi_run_host_queues() needs to run against more devices than the macro
shost_for_each_device() allows. Instead of using the too limiting
scsi_device_get() state checks, only ignore devices in SDEV_DEL state or
when unable to acquire a reference. Attempt to run the queues for all
other devices when scsi_run_host_queues() is called. |
| Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling (CWE-770) in Kibana can lead to a denial of service via Excessive Allocation (CAPEC-130). An authenticated user can submit a specially crafted request to affected Entity Analytics endpoints containing an oversized input value that causes excessive resource consumption, which may render Kibana unavailable. |
| Smithy-RS is a Rust code generation and runtime framework that generates HTTP clients and servers from Smithy interface definitions, powering the AWS SDK for Rust and custom service implementations.
Uncontrolled recursion in the JSON, CBOR, and XML deserializer functions emitted by Amazon smithy-rs code generation could allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (process abort via stack exhaustion) via a small request containing deeply nested data for a recursive model shape to a generated SDK or server.
To mitigate this issue, users should upgrade to aws-sdk-rust release-2026-06-02 or later. Users building custom servers with smithy-rs codegen should regenerate from smithy-rs release-2026-06-01 or later. |
| FreeScout is a free help desk and shared inbox built with PHP's Laravel framework. Prior to version 1.8.224, the FreeScout helpdesk application does not enforce rate limiting on the file upload endpoint. Any user can flood the server with upload requests, leading to database overload and potential denial of service for all users. Version 1.8.224 contains a fix. |
| SurrealDB versions before 3.1.0 fail to apply the SURREAL_WEBSOCKET_MAX_MESSAGE_SIZE limit to anonymous /sql WebSocket connections, allowing attackers to buffer unbounded frames in the per-connection read buffer. Attackers can stream WebSocket frames larger than the configured limit across multiple concurrent connections to consume excessive memory and degrade /sql availability. |
| A denial-of-service and resource exhaustion vulnerability exists within the `GDBus` component of GLib. The `gdbusauth` authentication mechanism fails to enforce proper length limitations on data lines read from a client. An unauthenticated local or remote attacker can exploit this lack of input validation by sending excessively long streams of data, causing the application to consume massive amounts of system memory and CPU, potentially leading to a crash or system hang. |
| websocket-driver is a WebSocket protocol handler with pluggable I/O. Prior to 0.7.5, if this library is used with the permessage-deflate extension, a WebSocket server or client can be made to accept messages that are larger than the configured maximum message size because the limit is checked against the message frames' length headers, which give the size of the compressed data, not the size after decompression in lib/websocket/driver/hybi.js. This can lead to applications accepting larger messages than expected and exceeding their intended resource usage. This issue is fixed in version 0.7.5. |
| dd-trace is the Datadog APM client for Node.js. Prior to 5.100.0, W3C baggage propagation in packages/dd-trace/src/baggage.js and packages/dd-trace/src/opentracing/propagation/text_map.js parsed incoming baggage HTTP headers without enforcing DD_TRACE_BAGGAGE_MAX_ITEMS or DD_TRACE_BAGGAGE_MAX_BYTES on extraction. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can send a request whose baggage header contains an arbitrarily large number of comma-separated key-value pairs, or a single very large value, causing unbounded CPU and memory consumption and enabling a remote denial of service against any HTTP service with baggage propagation enabled. This issue is fixed in version 5.100.0. |
| ### Impact
If this library is used in tandem with the `permessage-deflate` extension, a
WebSocket server or client can be made to accept messages that are larger than
the configured maximum message size. This is because this limit is checked
against the message frames' length headers, which give the size of the
compressed data, not the size after decompression. This can lead to applications
accepting larger messages than expected and exceeding their intended resource
usage.
### Patches
The issue has been patched in version 0.8.1, by checking the length of messages
after they are processed by incoming extensions. All users should upgrade to
this version.
### Workarounds
No known workarounds exist.

| Zeroconf is a pure Python implementation of multicast DNS service discovery. Prior to 0.149.7, DNSCache._async_add inserted every response record into cache, _expirations, _expire_heap, and service_cache without a cap, allowing unauthenticated hosts on the local link over UDP/5353 (224.0.0.251 / ff02::fb) to multicast valid mDNS responses with unique names and cause memory exhaustion, slower cache lookups, slower async_expire passes, and broken discovery, registration, and ServiceBrowser callbacks. This issue is fixed in version 0.149.7. |
| Mailpit is an email testing tool and API for developers. Prior to version 1.30.0, the screenshot/print proxy (/proxy?data=…) maintains a package-level assets map[string]MessageAssets cache, but reads the map without holding assetsMutex while a long-running cleanup goroutine and (re-entrant) CSS-rewriting code path concurrently write to it under the lock. When the unsynchronized read coincides with a synchronized write, Go's runtime raises fatal error: concurrent map read and map write — a runtime.throw that is not recoverable by http.Server's handler-panic recover. The whole Mailpit process exits, taking the SMTP, POP3 and HTTP listeners down with it. Version 1.30.0 contains a patch. |
| Mailpit is an email testing tool and API for developers. Prior to version 1.30.0, the Mailpit SMTP server has a Server.MaxSize int field that controls the maximum allowed DATA payload size, but the field is never assigned anywhere outside test code, leaving it at Go's zero value (0 ⇒ "no limit"). The same applies to the HTTP /api/v1/send endpoint, whose request body is decoded with json.NewDecoder(r.Body) and no http.MaxBytesReader. Because Mailpit's default listeners bind [::]:1025 (SMTP) and [::]:8025 (HTTP), with no authentication required on either, a single network-reachable attacker can push an arbitrarily large message into Mailpit and watch RAM consumption spike with a ~7-10× amplification factor (raw frame → enmime envelope tree → search-text index → zstd-encoded write to SQLite). Repeating the attack — or running it concurrently from multiple connections — drives the process to OOM-kill. Version 1.30.0 contains a patch. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in SIMATIC S7-PLCSIM Advanced (All versions). Affected devices do not properly handle high-volume multicast network traffic, which can exhaust available memory resources in the affected application. This could allow an unauthenticated attacker on the local network segment to cause a denial-of-service condition of the affected application. The affected application becomes inaccessible and requires a manual restart; no project data is lost. Successful exploitation requires a specific project configuration to be already active on the targeted instance. |

| Mailpit is an email testing tool and API for developers. Prior to version 1.30.1, the fix for GHSA-fpxj-m5q8-fphw (CVE-2026-45710, "Mailpit: Set a default 50MB p/m limit to prevent DoS via unlimited SMTP DATA and /api/v1/send body sizes") wrapped only `POST /api/v1/send` with `http.MaxBytesReader`. The four other Mailpit JSON-body API endpoints `PUT /api/v1/messages` (SetReadStatus), `DELETE /api/v1/messages` (DeleteMessages), `PUT /api/v1/tags` (SetMessageTags), and `POST /api/v1/message/{id}/release` (ReleaseMessage) still call `json.NewDecoder(r.Body)` directly with no body-size cap and remain reachable unauthenticated in the default `docker run axllent/mailpit:latest` deploy. An unauthenticated remote attacker can post a multi-million-element `IDs` slice and drive RSS from ~25 MiB baseline to ~450 MiB per 16 MB request body. Repeating across multiple connections accumulates the same per-request amplification per process. Version 1.30.1 contains a patch. |

Prior to 4.8.2, Datadog tracing libraries that implement W3C baggage propagation parse incoming baggage HTTP headers without enforcing DD_TRACE_BAGGAGE_MAX_ITEMS or DD_TRACE_BAGGAGE_MAX_BYTES limits on the extract path. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can send a request whose baggage header contains an arbitrarily large number of comma-separated key-value pairs or a single very large value, causing unbounded CPU and memory consumption and enabling a remote denial of service against HTTP services with baggage propagation enabled. | NCalc is a fast, lightweight expression evaluator for .NET. Prior to 6.1.1, the factorial operator implementation in src/NCalc.Core/Helpers/MathHelper.cs permits specially crafted expressions with extremely large factorial operands, causing excessive CPU consumption or a non-terminating loop due to integer overflow in the factorial calculation logic when applications evaluate untrusted expressions. This issue is fixed in version 6.1.1. |
