| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: run set info with opener credentials
SMB2 SET_INFO handlers call path-based VFS helpers after checking the
access mask granted to the SMB handle. Those helpers perform their owner,
inode permission and LSM checks using the current ksmbd worker credentials.
Run the complete SET_INFO dispatch with the credentials captured when the
handle was opened. This also removes the separate security information
credential setup and keeps all SET_INFO classes under one credential scope.
Direct override_creds() is used because it can nest with the request
credential overrides already used by rename and link helpers. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: mask server-provided mode to 07777 in modefromsid
When modefromsid is active, parse_dacl() applies the server-provided
sub_auth[2] value from the NFS mode SID to cf_mode without masking to
07777. Apply the correct masking, same as in the read path. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: skmsg: preserve sg.copy across SG transforms
The sk_msg sg.copy bitmap is part of the scatterlist entry ownership
state. A set bit tells sk_msg_compute_data_pointers() not to expose the
entry through writable BPF ctx->data. This protects entries backed by
pages that are not private to the sk_msg, such as splice-backed file
page-cache pages.
Several sk_msg transform paths move, copy, split, or compact
msg->sg.data[] entries without moving the matching sg.copy bit. This can
make an externally backed entry arrive at a new slot with a clear copy
bit. A later SK_MSG verdict can then expose sg_virt(sge) as writable
ctx->data and BPF stores can modify the original page cache.
Keep sg.copy synchronized with sg.data[] whenever entries are
transferred, shifted, split, or copied into a new sk_msg. Clear the bit
when an entry is replaced by a newly allocated private page or freed.
This covers the BPF pull/push/pop helpers, sk_msg_shift_left/right(),
sk_msg_xfer(), and tls_split_open_record(), including the partial tail
entry created during TLS open-record splitting. |
| In BRAIN2 versions prior to 3.09, the
application LogPathConfig.exe is executed during setup. As a result, the
Windows group Everyone is granted full control over %ProgramData% instead of
being restricted to %ProgramData%\Bizerba\BRAIN2\.
Starting with BRAIN2 3.09, the setup no
longer executes this tool.
However, the optional component Bizerba ScriptService still executes it.
Bizerba ScriptService is being
deprecated and will no longer be included starting with BRAIN2 version 3.11. |
| In _connect.BRAIN versions prior to 5.06,
the application LogPathConfig.exe is executed during setup. During this
process, existing permissions on %ProgramData% are deleted and replaced,
granting the Windows group Everyone full control instead of restricting
access to %ProgramData%\Bizerba\_connect.BRAIN or %ProgramData%\Bizerba\BCT.
Starting with _connect.BRAIN 5.06,
the setup no longer executes this tool. |
| A container privilege escalation flaw was found in certain Ansible Automation Platform images. This issue arises from the /etc/passwd file being created with group-writable permissions during the build process. In certain conditions, an attacker who can execute commands within an affected container, even as a non-root user, can leverage their membership in the root group to modify the /etc/passwd file. This vulnerability allows an attacker to add a new user with any arbitrary UID, including UID 0, gaining full root privileges within the container. |
| PBackupVSS.exe in Matrix42 Empirum before 25.5 and 26.x before 26.2 creates a named pipe (\\.\pipe\PBackupVSS) with a DACL that grants GENERIC_READ and GENERIC_WRITE permissions to all authenticated users. A low-privileged local attacker can connect to this pipe and send crafted IPC messages to trigger execution of arbitrary commands with SYSTEM privileges via an untrusted search path. This allows privilege escalation by placing a malicious shadow.exe in a controlled working directory. |
| Improper Handling of Insufficient Privileges vulnerability in Apache Accumulo.
An authenticated, but low-privileged user without system permissions may
issue a remote command to gracefully shutdown system components
(compaction-coordinator, compactor, gc, manager, monitor, tserver, or sserver),
leading to a denial of service.
This issue affects Apache Accumulo 2.1.4 and 2.1.5.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.1.6, which fixes the issue. |
| An issue was discovered in cyrus-imapd in Cyrus IMAP through 3.12.2. The vacation "fcc" feature skips the destination-mailbox ACL. A user whose vacation Sieve script used :fcc (to save a copy of the sent message) could deliver vacation auto-reply copies into any mailbox the script could name, regardless of whether the script owner had insert permissions on the destination mailbox. |
| PraisonAI before 4.6.78 contains an unenforced security policy vulnerability in the default Subprocess Sandbox backend where blocked_commands, blocked_paths, blocked_imports, allow_subprocess, and allow_file_write restrictions are completely ignored. Attackers can execute arbitrary subprocess commands, read sensitive files, and perform destructive operations despite explicit security policy configuration. |
| Windmill prior to 1.703.2 contains an incorrect default permissions vulnerability in nsjail sandbox configuration files where /etc is bind-mounted without read-write restrictions, allowing authenticated users to write arbitrary entries to /etc/hosts, /etc/resolv.conf, and /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt from within script execution sandboxes. Attackers can exploit persistent poisoned entries across all subsequent script executions on the same worker pod to redirect hostnames, intercept DNS queries, perform transparent HTTPS man-in-the-middle attacks, and intercept WM_TOKEN JWTs to gain workspace-admin access to other users' workspaces. |
| Lima launches Linux virtual machines, typically on macOS, for running containerd. Prior to 2.1.3, on an instance of Lima running with the qemu driver, an arbitrary user in the VM could access /run/lima-guestagent.sock when the guest agent is enabled, which could result in running arbitrary commands with root privileges in the VM because the guest agent socket provides tunneling for arbitrary addresses, including Unix socket addresses for privileged daemons like D-Bus. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.3. |

| osquery is a SQL powered operating system instrumentation, monitoring, and analytics framework. Prior to 5.23.1, an unprivileged attacker can read the contents of an osquery file carve until the carve completes and the temporary files are deleted because in-progress carve directories are not created with private permissions. If the carve targets a directory that the attacker controls, arbitrary file reads are possible, such as sensitive local files. This issue is fixed in version 5.23.1. |
