CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
i40e: fix IRQ freeing in i40e_vsi_request_irq_msix error path
If request_irq() in i40e_vsi_request_irq_msix() fails in an iteration
later than the first, the error path wants to free the IRQs requested
so far. However, it uses the wrong dev_id argument for free_irq(), so
it does not free the IRQs correctly and instead triggers the warning:
Trying to free already-free IRQ 173

Use the same dev_id for free_irq() as for request_irq().
I tested this with inserting code to fail intentionally. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sctp: linearize cloned gso packets in sctp_rcv
A cloned head skb still shares these frag skbs in fraglist with the
original head skb. It's not safe to access these frag skbs.

This patch fixes it by linearizing cloned gso packets in sctp_rcv(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net_sched: hfsc: Fix a UAF vulnerability in class handling
This patch fixes a Use-After-Free vulnerability in the HFSC qdisc class
handling. The issue occurs due to a time-of-check/time-of-use condition
in hfsc_change_class() when working with certain child qdiscs like netem
or codel.
The vulnerability works as follows:
1. hfsc_change_class() checks if a class has packets (q.qlen != 0)
2. It then calls qdisc_peek_len(), which for certain qdiscs (e.g.,
codel, netem) might drop packets and empty the queue
3. The code continues assuming the queue is still non-empty, adding
the class to vttree
4. This breaks HFSC scheduler assumptions that only non-empty classes
are in vttree
5. Later, when the class is destroyed, this can lead to a Use-After-Free
The fix adds a second queue length check after qdisc_peek_len() to verify
the queue wasn't emptied. |

Fix it by checking 'guid' before cmp. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
atm: clip: Fix infinite recursive call of clip_push().
syzbot reported the splat below. [0]
This happens if we call ioctl(ATMARP_MKIP) more than once.
During the first call, clip_mkip() sets clip_push() to vcc->push(),
and the second call copies it to clip_vcc->old_push().
Later, when the socket is close()d, vcc_destroy_socket() passes
NULL skb to clip_push(), which calls clip_vcc->old_push(),
triggering the infinite recursion.
Let's prevent the second ioctl(ATMARP_MKIP) by checking
vcc->user_back, which is allocated by the first call as clip_vcc.
Note also that we use lock_sock() to prevent racy calls.

| Debusine is an integrated solution to build, distribute and maintain a Debian-based distribution. Debian source packages (.dsc) and upload artifacts (.changes) are manifest files that name the files that make up the artifact. The parser used to read these files in Debusine accepted arbitrary fully user-controlled paths. The mergeuploads task could be abused to create arbitrary symbolic links on a worker, overwriting any file that the worker user has access to. |
| Debusine is an integrated solution to build, distribute and maintain a Debian-based distribution. Files managed by debusine are organized into artifacts. The endpoints that create and delete relationships between artifacts enforced no permissions checks beyond being able to see the artifacts in question. |
| Arm Mbed TLS before 2.19.0 and Arm Mbed Crypto before 2.0.0, when deterministic ECDSA is enabled, use an RNG with insufficient entropy for blinding, which might allow an attacker to recover a private key via side-channel attacks if a victim signs the same message many times. (For Mbed TLS, the fix is also available in versions 2.7.12 and 2.16.3.) |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in ARM mbed TLS (formerly PolarSSL) 1.3.x before 1.3.14 and 2.x before 2.1.2 allows remote SSL servers to cause a denial of service (client crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a long session ticket name to the session ticket extension, which is not properly handled when creating a ClientHello message to resume a session. NOTE: this identifier was SPLIT from CVE-2015-5291 per ADT3 due to different affected version ranges. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in PolarSSL 1.x before 1.2.17 and ARM mbed TLS (formerly PolarSSL) 1.3.x before 1.3.14 and 2.x before 2.1.2 allows remote SSL servers to cause a denial of service (client crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a long hostname to the server name indication (SNI) extension, which is not properly handled when creating a ClientHello message. NOTE: this identifier has been SPLIT per ADT3 due to different affected version ranges. See CVE-2015-8036 for the session ticket issue that was introduced in 1.3.0. |
| Mbed TLS before 3.0.1 has a double free in certain out-of-memory conditions, as demonstrated by an mbedtls_ssl_set_session() failure. |
| ARM mbed TLS before 2.1.11, before 2.7.2, and before 2.8.0 has a buffer over-read in ssl_parse_server_key_exchange() that could cause a crash on invalid input. |
| An issue was discovered in Arm Mbed TLS before 2.16.6 and 2.7.x before 2.7.15. An attacker that can get precise enough side-channel measurements can recover the long-term ECDSA private key by (1) reconstructing the projective coordinate of the result of scalar multiplication by exploiting side channels in the conversion to affine coordinates; (2) using an attack described by Naccache, Smart, and Stern in 2003 to recover a few bits of the ephemeral scalar from those projective coordinates via several measurements; and (3) using a lattice attack to get from there to the long-term ECDSA private key used for the signatures. Typically an attacker would have sufficient access when attacking an SGX enclave and controlling the untrusted OS. |
| ARM mbed TLS before 2.1.11, before 2.7.2, and before 2.8.0 has a buffer over-read in ssl_parse_server_psk_hint() that could cause a crash on invalid input. |
| An issue was discovered in Mbed TLS before 2.28.1 and 3.x before 3.2.0. In some configurations, an unauthenticated attacker can send an invalid ClientHello message to a DTLS server that causes a heap-based buffer over-read of up to 255 bytes. This can cause a server crash or possibly information disclosure based on error responses. Affected configurations have MBEDTLS_SSL_DTLS_CLIENT_PORT_REUSE enabled and MBEDTLS_SSL_IN_CONTENT_LEN less than a threshold that depends on the configuration: 258 bytes if using mbedtls_ssl_cookie_check, and possibly up to 571 bytes with a custom cookie check function. |
| A vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel’s cgroup_release_agent_write in the kernel/cgroup/cgroup-v1.c function. This flaw, under certain circumstances, allows the use of the cgroups v1 release_agent feature to escalate privileges and bypass the namespace isolation unexpectedly. |
| Vulnerability in the OpenSSH GSSAPI delta included in various Linux distributions. This vulnerability affects the GSSAPI patches added by various Linux distributions and does not affect the OpenSSH upstream project itself. The usage of sshpkt_disconnect() on an error, which does not terminate the process, allows an attacker to send an unexpected GSSAPI message type during the GSSAPI key exchange to the server, which will call the underlying function and continue the execution of the program without setting the related connection variables. As the variables are not initialized to NULL the code later accesses those uninitialized variables, accessing random memory, which could lead to undefined behavior. The recommended workaround is to use ssh_packet_disconnect() instead, which does terminate the process. The impact of the vulnerability depends heavily on the compiler flag hardening configuration. |
| It was discovered that dpkg-deb (a component of dpkg, the Debian package management system) does not properly validate the end of the data stream when uncompressing a zstd-compressed .deb archive, which may result in denial of service (infinite loop spinning the CPU). |
| 1. A cookie is set using the `secure` keyword for `https://target`
2. curl is redirected to or otherwise made to speak with `http://target` (same
hostname, but using clear text HTTP) using the same cookie set
3. The same cookie name is set - but with just a slash as path (`path=\"/\",`).
Since this site is not secure, the cookie *should* just be ignored.
4. A bug in the path comparison logic makes curl read outside a heap buffer
boundary
The bug either causes a crash or it potentially makes the comparison come to
the wrong conclusion and lets the clear-text site override the contents of the
secure cookie, contrary to expectations and depending on the memory contents
immediately following the single-byte allocation that holds the path.
The presumed and correct behavior would be to plainly ignore the second set of
the cookie since it was already set as secure on a secure host so overriding
it on an insecure host should not be okay. |
| Systems with microprocessors utilizing speculative execution and speculative execution of memory reads before the addresses of all prior memory writes are known may allow unauthorized disclosure of information to an attacker with local user access via a side-channel analysis, aka Speculative Store Bypass (SSB), Variant 4. |
