CVE-2025-38186 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-19 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Fix double invocation of bnxt_ulp_stop()/bnxt_ulp_start() Before the commit under the Fixes tag below, bnxt_ulp_stop() and bnxt_ulp_start() were always invoked in pairs. After that commit, the new bnxt_ulp_restart() can be invoked after bnxt_ulp_stop() has been called. This may result in the RoCE driver's aux driver .suspend() method being invoked twice. The 2nd bnxt_re_suspend() call will crash when it dereferences a NULL pointer: (NULL ib_device): Handle device suspend call BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000b78 PGD 0 P4D 0 Oops: Oops: 0000 [#1] SMP PTI CPU: 20 UID: 0 PID: 181 Comm: kworker/u96:5 Tainted: G S 6.15.0-rc1 #4 PREEMPT(voluntary) Tainted: [S]=CPU_OUT_OF_SPEC Hardware name: Dell Inc. CVE-2025-38423 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: codecs: wcd9375: Fix double free of regulator supplies Driver gets regulator supplies in probe path with devm_regulator_bulk_get(), so should not call regulator_bulk_free() in error and remove paths to avoid double free.
CVE-2025-38421 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86/amd: pmf: Use device managed allocations If setting up smart PC fails for any reason then this can lead to a double free when unloading amd-pmf. This is because dev->buf was freed but never set to NULL and is again freed in amd_pmf_remove(). To avoid subtle allocation bugs in failures leading to a double free change all allocations into device managed allocations.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: SOF: ipc3-topology: Prevent double freeing of ipc_control_data via load_bytes We have sanity checks for byte controls and if any of the fail the locally allocated scontrol->ipc_control_data is freed up, but not set to NULL. On a rollback path of the error the higher level code will also try to free the scontrol->ipc_control_data which will eventually going to lead to memory corruption as double freeing memory is not a good thing.
CVE-2025-38338 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-18 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/nfs/read: fix double-unlock bug in nfs_return_empty_folio() Sometimes, when a file was read while it was being truncated by another NFS client, the kernel could deadlock because folio_unlock() was called twice, and the second call would XOR back the `PG_locked` flag. Most of the time (depending on the timing of the truncation), nobody notices the problem because folio_unlock() gets called three times, which flips `PG_locked` back off: 1. vfs_read, nfs_read_folio, ... nfs_read_add_folio, nfs_return_empty_folio 2. vfs_read, nfs_read_folio, ... netfs_read_collection, netfs_unlock_abandoned_read_pages 3. vfs_read, ... nfs_do_read_folio, nfs_read_add_folio, nfs_return_empty_folio The problem is that nfs_read_add_folio() is not supposed to unlock the folio if fscache is enabled, and a nfs_netfs_folio_unlock() check is missing in nfs_return_empty_folio(). Rarely this leads to a warning in netfs_read_collection(): ------------[ cut here ]------------ R=0000031c: folio 10 is not locked WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 29 at fs/netfs/read_collect.c:133 netfs_read_collection+0x7c0/0xf00 [...] Workqueue: events_unbound netfs_read_collection_worker RIP: 0010:netfs_read_collection+0x7c0/0xf00 [...] Call Trace: <TASK> netfs_read_collection_worker+0x67/0x80 process_one_work+0x12e/0x2c0 worker_thread+0x295/0x3a0 Most of the time, however, processes just get stuck forever in folio_wait_bit_common(), waiting for `PG_locked` to disappear, which never happens because nobody is really holding the folio lock.
CVE-2025-38341 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-18 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: eth: fbnic: avoid double free when failing to DMA-map FW msg The semantics are that caller of fbnic_mbx_map_msg() retains the ownership of the message on error. All existing callers dutifully free the page.
CVE-2025-37913 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2025-11-17 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net_sched: qfq: Fix double list add in class with netem as child qdisc As described in Gerrard's report [1], there are use cases where a netem child qdisc will make the parent qdisc's enqueue callback reentrant. In the case of qfq, there won't be a UAF, but the code will add the same classifier to the list twice, which will cause memory corruption. This patch checks whether the class was already added to the agg->active list (cl_is_active) before doing the addition to cater for the reentrant case. CVE-2025-37914 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2025-11-17 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net_sched: ets: Fix double list add in class with netem as child qdisc As described in Gerrard's report [1], there are use cases where a netem child qdisc will make the parent qdisc's enqueue callback reentrant. In the case of ets, there won't be a UAF, but the code will add the same classifier to the list twice, which will cause memory corruption. In addition to checking for qlen being zero, this patch checks whether the class was already added to the active_list (cl_is_active) before doing the addition to cater for the reentrant case. CVE-2025-37933 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-17 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeon_ep: Fix host hang issue during device reboot When the host loses heartbeat messages from the device, the driver calls the device-specific ndo_stop function, which frees the resources. If the driver is unloaded in this scenario, it calls ndo_stop again, attempting to free resources that have already been freed, leading to a host hang issue. To resolve this, dev_close should be called instead of the device-specific stop function.dev_close internally calls ndo_stop to stop the network interface and performs additional cleanup tasks. During the driver unload process, if the device is already down, ndo_stop is not called.
CVE-2022-49990 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-14 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390: fix double free of GS and RI CBs on fork() failure The pointers for guarded storage and runtime instrumentation control blocks are stored in the thread_struct of the associated task. These pointers are initially copied on fork() via arch_dup_task_struct() and then cleared via copy_thread() before fork() returns. If fork() happens to fail after the initial task dup and before copy_thread(), the newly allocated task and associated thread_struct memory are freed via free_task() -> arch_release_task_struct(). This results in a double free of the guarded storage and runtime info structs because the fields in the failed task still refer to memory associated with the source task. This problem can manifest as a BUG_ON() in set_freepointer() (with CONFIG_SLAB_FREELIST_HARDENED enabled) or KASAN splat (if enabled) when running trinity syscall fuzz tests on s390x. To avoid this problem, clear the associated pointer fields in arch_dup_task_struct() immediately after the new task is copied. Note that the RI flag is still cleared in copy_thread() because it resides in thread stack memory and that is where stack info is copied.
CVE-2025-37817 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2025-11-12 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mcb: fix a double free bug in chameleon_parse_gdd() In chameleon_parse_gdd(), if mcb_device_register() fails, 'mdev' would be released in mcb_device_register() via put_device(). Thus, goto 'err' label and free 'mdev' again causes a double free. Just return if mcb_device_register() fails.
CVE-2022-49900 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-10 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: piix4: Fix adapter not be removed in piix4_remove() In piix4_probe(), the piix4 adapter will be registered in: piix4_probe() piix4_add_adapters_sb800() / piix4_add_adapter() i2c_add_adapter() Based on the probed device type, piix4_add_adapters_sb800() or single piix4_add_adapter() will be called. For the former case, piix4_adapter_count is set as the number of adapters, while for antoher case it is not set and kept default *zero*. When piix4 is removed, piix4_remove() removes the adapters added in piix4_probe(), basing on the piix4_adapter_count value. Because the count is zero for the single adapter case, the adapter won't be removed and makes the sources allocated for adapter leaked, such as the i2c client and device. These sources can still be accessed by i2c or bus and cause problems. An easily reproduced case is that if a new adapter is registered, i2c will get the leaked adapter and try to call smbus_algorithm, which was already freed: Triggered by: rmmod i2c_piix4 && modprobe max31730 BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ffffffffc053d860 #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode #PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page Oops: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN CPU: 0 PID: 3752 Comm: modprobe Tainted: G Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996) RIP: 0010:i2c_default_probe (drivers/i2c/i2c-core-base.c:2259) i2c_core RSP: 0018:ffff888107477710 EFLAGS: 00000246 ... <TASK> i2c_detect (drivers/i2c/i2c-core-base.c:2302) i2c_core __process_new_driver (drivers/i2c/i2c-core-base.c:1336) i2c_core bus_for_each_dev (drivers/base/bus.c:301) i2c_for_each_dev (drivers/i2c/i2c-core-base.c:1823) i2c_core i2c_register_driver (drivers/i2c/i2c-core-base.c:1861) i2c_core do_one_initcall (init/main.c:1296) do_init_module (kernel/module/main.c:2455) ... </TASK> ---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]--- Fix this problem by correctly set piix4_adapter_count as 1 for the single adapter so it can be normally removed.
CVE-2022-49826 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-10 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ata: libata-transport: fix double ata_host_put() in ata_tport_add() In the error path in ata_tport_add(), when calling put_device(), ata_tport_release() is called, it will put the refcount of 'ap->host'. And then ata_host_put() is called again, the refcount is decreased to 0, ata_host_release() is called, all ports are freed and set to null. When unbinding the device after failure, ata_host_stop() is called to release the resources, it leads a null-ptr-deref(), because all the ports all freed and null. CVE-2022-4450 3 Openssl, Redhat, Stormshield 6 Openssl, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 3 more 2025-11-04 7.5 High
The function PEM_read_bio_ex() reads a PEM file from a BIO and parses and decodes the "name" (e.g. "CERTIFICATE"), any header data and the payload data. If the function succeeds then the "name_out", "header" and "data" arguments are populated with pointers to buffers containing the relevant decoded data. The caller is responsible for freeing those buffers. It is possible to construct a PEM file that results in 0 bytes of payload data. In this case PEM_read_bio_ex() will return a failure code but will populate the header argument with a pointer to a buffer that has already been freed. If the caller also frees this buffer then a double free will occur. This will most likely lead to a crash. This could be exploited by an attacker who has the ability to supply malicious PEM files for parsing to achieve a denial of service attack. The functions PEM_read_bio() and PEM_read() are simple wrappers around PEM_read_bio_ex() and therefore these functions are also directly affected. These functions are also called indirectly by a number of other OpenSSL functions including PEM_X509_INFO_read_bio_ex() and SSL_CTX_use_serverinfo_file() which are also vulnerable. Some OpenSSL internal uses of these functions are not vulnerable because the caller does not free the header argument if PEM_read_bio_ex() returns a failure code. These locations include the PEM_read_bio_TYPE() functions as well as the decoders introduced in OpenSSL 3.0. The OpenSSL asn1parse command line application is also impacted by this issue.
