CVSS v3.1 |
| A vulnerability in the processing of Galois/Counter Mode (GCM)-encrypted Internet Key Exchange version 2 (IKEv2) IPsec traffic of Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device.
This vulnerability is due to the allocation of an insufficiently sized block of memory. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted GCM-encrypted IPsec traffic to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause an unexpected reload of the device, resulting in a DoS condition. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid credentials to establish a VPN connection with the affected device. |
| NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source have a vulnerability in the ngx_http_proxy_v2_module and ngx_http_grpc_module modules. This vulnerability exists when the proxy_http_version to 2 or grpc_pass directives are used to proxy HTTP/2 traffic, the ignore_invalid_headers directive is set to off, and the large_client_header_buffers directive size is larger than 2 megabytes. A remote, unauthenticated attacker, along with conditions beyond their control, could send large headers while creating an upstream request. This may cause a heap-based buffer overflow in the NGINX worker process leading to a restart. Additionally, attackers can execute code on systems with Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) disabled or when the attacker can bypass ASLR.
Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. |
| An IPv6 packet processing vulnerability in the dataplane of Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS® software enables an unauthenticated attacker to bypass firewall security policy enforcement, allowing network traffic that should be blocked to reach protected services.
Cloud NGFW and Panorama are not impacted by this vulnerability. |
| An incorrect buffer size calculation in the epoch key generator in OpenVPN ovpn-dco-win version 2.0.0 through 2.8.3 allows a remote authenticated peer to trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and kernel memory corruption via a crafted data packet, resulting in a system crash (denial of service). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb/client: handle overlapping allocated ranges in fallocate
smb3_simple_fallocate_range() can skip holes when an allocated range
returned by the server starts before the current fallocate offset. The
skipped hole is not zero-filled, but fallocate still returns success. A
later write to that hole may therefore fail with ENOSPC.
The function queries allocated ranges so that it can preserve existing
contents and write zeroes only into holes. However, the server may return
a range that starts before the current fallocate offset.
For example, assume the fallocate request is [100, 400) and the only
allocated range returned by the server is [0, 200):
Request: [100, 400)
Server range: [ 0, 200) allocated
Correct:
[100, 200) allocated data, skip
[200, 400) hole, zero-fill
Current:
[100, 300) skipped
[300, 400) zero-filled afterwards
The current code adds the full server range length, 200, to the current
offset 100 and moves to 300. As a result, the hole in [200, 300) is
skipped without being zero-filled.
Fix this by advancing only over the part of the allocated range that
overlaps the current fallocate offset. Ignore ranges that end before the
current offset and reject ranges whose end offset overflows.
This also prevents a malformed range length from causing an out-of-bounds
zero-buffer read. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tipc: fix integer overflow in tipc_recvmsg() and tipc_recvstream()
In tipc_recvmsg(), the copy length is computed as:
copy = min_t(int, dlen - offset, buflen);
buflen is size_t but min_t(int, ...) casts it to int. When buflen
exceeds INT_MAX (e.g. 0xFFFFFFFF via io_uring provided buffers), it
wraps negative, wins the comparison, and the negative copy length
propagates to simple_copy_to_iter() where int-to-size_t promotion
makes it SIZE_MAX, triggering a WARN_ON. tipc_recvstream() has the
same pattern.
Kernel panic - not syncing: kernel: panic_on_warn set ...
RIP: 0010:simple_copy_to_iter+0x9e/0xd0 (net/core/datagram.c:521)
Call Trace:

tipc_recvmsg+0x3d7/0xe80 (net/tipc/socket.c:1934)
io_recvmsg+0x47e/0xda0
Fix by changing min_t(int, ...) to min_t(size_t, ...) in both
functions. The result is always <= (dlen - offset), which is bounded
by TIPC maximum message size (0x1ffff bytes), so the implicit
narrowing on assignment to int copy is always safe. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel: ethosu: Fix element size accounting for cmd stream validation
There are 2 issues with the element size handling in the command stream
validation which result in too small of a size calculated when the
element size is 16/32/64 bits.
For NHWC format, the element size is simply missing from the
calculation.
The bitfield for the element size is different between IFM/IFM2 and
OFM. IFM and IFM2 encode the precision in parameter bits 2:3, while OFM
uses bits 1:2. |
| A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the GIMP DDS (DirectDraw Surface) file parser. When a crafted DDS file declares a D3D9 pixel format but sets a lower bits-per-pixel (bpp) value in the header, the loader allocates an undersized heap buffer. Subsequent pixel data consumption at the real format's stride causes a write past the heap buffer boundary, leading to heap metadata corruption and potential code execution. |
| node-re2 provides RE2 regular expression bindings for Node.js. Prior to version 1.25.1, the WrappedRE2::Replace function built its replacement result and passed it to V8 using ToLocalChecked without checking for the empty MaybeLocal that V8 returns when the resulting string or buffer exceeds V8's maximum string length. When a global replace uses an output amplifying replacement template, the result can grow quadratically with the input size, and once the result exceeds V8's maximum string length, the unchecked ToLocalChecked call causes a fatal, uncatchable process abort instead of a catchable exception. This issue is fixed in version 1.25.1. |
| A heap-buffer-overflow vulnerability exists in the APNG (Animated PNG) file loader of GIMP. This flaw occurs when the `fcTL` width exceeds the `IHDR` width, leading to pixel data being written past the end of a heap allocation. Additionally, a heap-based buffer overflow exists in the DDS plug-in due to a BPP mismatch in the `load_layer()` function. Both vulnerabilities can be triggered by opening a specially crafted image file, potentially leading to code execution. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vmxnet3: Fix packet corruption in vmxnet3_xdp_xmit_frame
Andrew and Nikolay reported connectivity issues with Cilium's service
load-balancing in case of vmxnet3.
If a BPF program for native XDP adds an encapsulation header such as
IPIP and transmits the packet out the same interface, then in case
of vmxnet3 a corrupted packet is being sent and subsequently dropped
on the path.
vmxnet3_xdp_xmit_frame() which is called e.g. via vmxnet3_run_xdp()
through vmxnet3_xdp_xmit_back() calculates an incorrect DMA address:
page = virt_to_page(xdpf->data);
tbi->dma_addr = page_pool_get_dma_addr(page) +
VMXNET3_XDP_HEADROOM;
dma_sync_single_for_device(&adapter->pdev->dev,
tbi->dma_addr, buf_size,
DMA_TO_DEVICE);
The above assumes a fixed offset (VMXNET3_XDP_HEADROOM), but the XDP
BPF program could have moved xdp->data. While the passed buf_size is
correct (xdpf->len), the dma_addr needs to have a dynamic offset which
can be calculated as xdpf->data - (void *)xdpf, that is, xdp->data -
xdp->data_hard_start. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
virtio-net: fix overflow inside virtnet_rq_alloc
When the frag just got a page, then may lead to regression on VM.
Specially if the sysctl net.core.high_order_alloc_disable value is 1,
then the frag always get a page when do refill.
Which could see reliable crashes or scp failure (scp a file 100M in size
to VM).
The issue is that the virtnet_rq_dma takes up 16 bytes at the beginning
of a new frag. When the frag size is larger than PAGE_SIZE,
everything is fine. However, if the frag is only one page and the
total size of the buffer and virtnet_rq_dma is larger than one page, an
overflow may occur.
The commit f9dac92ba908 ("virtio_ring: enable premapped mode whatever
use_dma_api") introduced this problem. And we reverted some commits to
fix this in last linux version. Now we try to enable it and fix this
bug directly.
Here, when the frag size is not enough, we reduce the buffer len to fix
this problem. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/i915/gem: Fix Virtual Memory mapping boundaries calculation
Calculating the size of the mapped area as the lesser value
between the requested size and the actual size does not consider
the partial mapping offset. This can cause page fault access.
Fix the calculation of the starting and ending addresses, the
total size is now deduced from the difference between the end and
start addresses.
Additionally, the calculations have been rewritten in a clearer
and more understandable form.

drm/msm/dsi: don't dump registers past the mapped region
On DSI 6G platforms the IO address space is internally adjusted by
io_offset. Later this adjusted address might be used for memory dumping.
However the size that is used for memory dumping isn't adjusted to
account for the io_offset, leading to the potential access to the
unmapped region. Lower ctrl_size by the io_offset value to prevent
access past the mapped area.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ASoC: SOF: ipc4-topology: Correct the allocation size for bytes controls
The size of the data behind of scontrol->ipc_control_data for bytes
controls is:
[1] sizeof(struct sof_ipc4_control_data) + // kernel only struct
[2] sizeof(struct sof_abi_hdr)) + payload
The max_size specifies the size of [2] and it is coming from topology.
Change the function to take this into account and allocate adequate amount
of memory behind scontrol->ipc_control_data.
With the change we will allocate [1] amount more memory to be able to hold
the full size of data. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
md/md-bitmap: fix wrong bitmap_limit for clustermd when write sb
In clustermd, separate write-intent-bitmaps are used for each cluster
node:
0 4k 8k 12k
-------------------------------------------------------------------
| idle | md super | bm super [0] + bits |
| bm bits[0, contd] | bm super[1] + bits | bm bits[1, contd] |
| bm super[2] + bits | bm bits [2, contd] | bm super[3] + bits |
| bm bits [3, contd] | | |
So in node 1, pg_index in __write_sb_page() could equal to
bitmap->storage.file_pages. Then bitmap_limit will be calculated to
0. md_super_write() will be called with 0 size.
That means the first 4k sb area of node 1 will never be updated
through filemap_write_page().
This bug causes hang of mdadm/clustermd_tests/01r1_Grow_resize.
Here use (pg_index % bitmap->storage.file_pages) to make calculation
of bitmap_limit correct. |
| rust-openssl provides OpenSSL bindings for the Rust programming language. From 0.10.50 until 0.10.80, CipherCtxRef::cipher_update_inplace in openssl/src/cipher_ctx.rs incorrectly sized output buffers when used with AES key-wrap-with-padding ciphers EVP_aes_{128,192,256}_wrap_pad. For a non-multiple-of-8 input, OpenSSL writes up to 7 bytes past the end of the caller's buffer or Vec, producing attacker-controllable heap corruption when the plaintext length is attacker-influenced. This issue is fixed in version 0.10.80. |
| Device Monitoring Studio 8.10.00.8925 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows local attackers to crash the application by supplying an excessively long string to the server connection dialog. Attackers can trigger the crash by entering a malformed server name or address containing repeated characters through the Tools menu Connect to New Server interface. |
